Huetthaler dominated, winning by just shy of seven minutes over Camilla Pedersen and Kimberley Morrison. The win is the second in recent times for Huetthaler, who also took out Ironman 70.3 Pescara in Italy three weeks go.
It was Pedersen who called the tune early on, leading the field out of the water by 29-seconds. The British pairing of Morrison and Sarah Lewis were next with Huetthaler 20-seconds astern of them.
Few in the sport can match it with Morrison on the bike but Huetthaler managed to register the fastest split of 2:21:54 and build a solid platform for her victory.
The Austrian sealed the deal with a 1:23:13 fastest run split to put a space on her rivals. Her effort was three minutes faster than any other competitor bar Lewis who ran into fourth with a 1:23:51.
